The Olympic Trials Marathon qualifying standard for 2016 was released the other day. For 2012, the "A" standard was 2:39, which has now dropped to 2:37. The 2012 "B" standard was 2:46, and has now dropped to 2:43. 6:19 pace down to 6:13 pace. Not an unexpected drop for the standard, but still changes the game a bit. Do-able? Well, the window opens August 1st, 2013, and stays open until thirty days before the Trials. Lots of work to do!
Trust the process I suppose. Believe.
